Bizkaia Aretoa-UPV/EHU

The  Bizkaia Aretoa building is located in one of the most emblematic parts of Bilbao.

L-shaped, it opens out onto the estuary and the Guggenheim Museum, right in the centre of Avenida Abandoibarra, between the Padre Arrupe footbridge and the bridge known as the Puente de Deusto.

Nowadays, this building hosts all kind of social, cultural, academic and scientific events. Most of them are organized by the UPV/EHU, but there are also a few organized by external entities.  More details here.

It is situated next to the highest building in the city, the Iberdrola tower, so it is easy to find. Once you are in the building, you will see the indications to get to the conference room.

By underground 

The closest stop is Moyua (Ercilla-Guggenheim exit, see here the map of metro system). From there you have to take Elcano street towards the estuary (towards Abandoibarra), leaving the Civil Government building on the left, and at the Euskadi roundabout you have to take Ramón Rubial street to Bizkaia Aretoa. The journey by walking from the Moyua metro stop to the Bizkaia Aretoa is approximately 10 minutes.

By tram (Tranvía Bilbao)

The closest tranvia stop is  Guggenheim stop (see here the map of tranvia system). The journey by walking from the tranvia stop is approximately 1 minute.

By car

The closest parking is the Euskadi Plaza Parking. The entrance is in Ramón Rubial street. The journey on foot from the parking is approximately 2 minutes.

By bus

You can take any (red) bus -Bilbobus of the following lines:

Lines 1, 10, 13 and 18 with a stop at the Plaza del Museo de Bellas Artes and at the Deusto Bridge (the journey on foot is approximately 6 minutes at both stops).

Lines 13, 27, 38 and 48 stopping at Alameda de Rekalde (the journey on foot is approximately 8 minutes).

Lines 11 and 71 with a stop at the University of Deusto (in this case you have to cross the estuary along the Pedro Arrupe Footbridge and the journey on foot is approximately 5 minutes).

Beware: The bus stops are not announced. Remember to signal to the driver, both on the bus stop to get on (by hand), and in the bus to get off (by pressing a button).
